What a web application project involves

Applications rather than websites: systems with users, roles, permissions and a workflow that has to survive contact with the way a business really operates. These are the projects where the interesting problems are behind the screen — who is allowed to approve what, what happens when two people edit the same record, and what the numbers have to reconcile to at the end of the month.

• Discovery first: the process is mapped as it actually runs, including the exceptions people work around
• Data model designed before screens, because that is what everything else has to live with
• Role-based access, audit trails and the reports the business is judged on
• Built on Laravel with MySQL, deployed to hosting in the client's own name
• Handover of source code, database and documentation — the system stays movable
